DailySpend

Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026

DailySpend does not collect your data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party code in the app. Nothing you record is sent to the developer or to anyone else.

What the app stores, and where

DailySpend records what you spend so it can tell you what you have left today. That information is kept in two places, both of which belong to you:

Your private iCloud database is exactly that — private. It is governed by your Apple account, not by the developer, who has no access to it and no way to read, export or recover what it holds. If you sign out of iCloud, the app keeps working using the copy on your device.

What the app does not do

Apple Pay logging

DailySpend can optionally log purchases automatically when you tap to pay. This works through a Shortcuts automation that you set up yourself and that runs entirely on your device. The app never sees your card details, your bank, your Apple Pay account or the merchant's payment data — it receives only the amount and, where the automation provides one, a name for the purchase. You can turn the automation off at any time in the Shortcuts app.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, DailySpend uses them to tell you when you are close to your daily amount or have gone over it. These are scheduled locally by the app on your device. No notification is sent from a server, and no notification content leaves your phone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. Data held in your private iCloud database is removed through iOS: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, where DailySpend can be deleted along with its contents. Because the developer has no access to that data, this is something only you can do.

Children

DailySpend is a general-audience budgeting tool. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever begins collecting anything, this page will say so plainly and the date above will change before that version ships. Any such change would be described here in the same specific terms as the rest of this page, not as a general reservation of rights.
